With Christmas coming really soon, I figured now would be a great time to help out any last minute shoppers with gift ideas. Or maybe you just want to treat yourself and you need recommendations on what to buy next. I mean, both are extremely valid reasons and everyone needs a shopping spree!
Either way, I highly recommend all these products for any like minded college-aged feminine individual. (So politically correct wow.)
I’m a bit of a hoarder and I definitely do not know when to stop buying things (it’s becoming a problem). So while I’m taking a little break from shopping until the end of the year, here are some of my favorite things that I’ve bought this past semester and absolutely loved.
Bomber Jacket // I’ve been on a jacket kick lately. From a girl who used to only own two hoodies, I know own five really awesome jackets– this one is my favorite. This jacket is so soft and keeps me so warm; and the style is so sleek and effective for any occasion. I absolutely adore fleece and sherpa-esque styles, so this is just one more article of clothing to add to my already too fuzzy closet.
T-Shirt Dresses // I’m still trying to figure out how to dress for outings that aren’t cute fancy but aren’t all too casual either. Or for events that you’re not entirely sure what to wear– should you dress cute or will you be out of place? Enter: t-shirt dresses, my favorite solution to all these fashion problems. It’s casual enough but also really cute and you don’t have to worry about pants: the ultimate versatile outfit.
Bralettes // Let me tell you, I hate bras. They’re cute and all, but they’re way too uncomfortable. Do you know that feeling after a long day when you can just take off your bra? I live for that feeling. So why go through the hassle of wearing a bra all day when you can just feel free forever. If you haven’t gotten on the bralette wagon yet, you’re missing out. They’re so cute under tank tops and peaking out from under low-cute t-shirts– they’re definitely worth every penny!
Suede Button Up Skirts // These skirts are such a huge trend recently, and I finally bought one for myself and I am in love. From crop tops to tucked in shirts, this skirt will make you look so fashionable and adorable. You can wear this to practically any occasion– dress it up or keep it casual, you’ll look amazing.
Mom Jeans // I hate jeans. I hate pants. They make me feel constricted and claustrophobic– and denim is so stiff. So when I bought my first pair of mom jeans, I fell in love. Similar to the suede button up skirt, these look so good with tight crop tops or shirts tucked into them. I wear these all the time now if it’s not too hot for them.
Chelsea Boots in Black // I bought these as an impulse buy to meet the price requirement for free shipping and, let me tell you, I am in love. These boots are so versatile and they go so well with practically everything. I haven’t found a look that doesn’t go with these boots. From classes to brunch outing to parties, these cute booties will complete any outfit.
Rosehip Seed Oil // This is such a wonderful alternative to moisturizer! Just a few drops will make your skin feel so refreshed and supple. I’ve been dealing with dry patches on my face for a while before I bought myself a bottle and now my skin feels absolutely baby-soft. If you’re looking to implement more natural products in your beauty regime, I definite recommend this!
Micellar Cleansing Water // I’m so lazy when it comes to removing my makeup. The old makeup removers I used to use took so much rubbing to take it all off that I’d just forgo it and hop in the shower with a face full of makeup and hope that it’ll all come off. But now that I have a bottle of this magic, I’m ready for bed with just a few swipes.
Lighted Makeup Mirror // I’ve been hesitant to buy this because I’m living that broke college student life, but over Black Friday I had a few moments of impulse shopping and I decided to go for it. Let me tell you, I don’t regret this purchase one bit. Because my dorm room doesn’t have any natural light, this was a definite must and such a great investment.
I feel like I buy and want so many random things that if it’s cute, I definite want it. Bonus point if it’s cute and functional. Extra bonus points if it’s also cat-themed! A lot of these were gifts from my boyfriend (I feel like I’m so easy to shop for– anything cat related and I’m hooked) and I used all of these products constantly.
That cat makeup bag and cat mug (there’s a hidden cat inside of it!) are definitely my two favorite items on this list!
And for people who are interested in bullet journalling but are intimidated by the super expensive supplies that some people use, I highly recommend the Peter Pauper Press notebooks! They come in so many different and adorable styles and are fairly cheap for how good they are. As much as I’d love to own a notebook like this one, it’s much too expensive for my simple bullet journal needs.
